Corporate History

The Power Gen & Construction Practice, LLC was formed in 2008 with the goal of creating a firm dedicated to empowering clients with the ability to break the cycle of diminished loss prevention efficacy while uncovering and helping clients manage every aspect of the risk assessment process. The company fulfills these objectives by transparently sharing the firm’s experience and expertise with its clients in seeking an efficient, advantageous and elegant  solution for resolving the risks identified.

The firm was founded by Robert Sansone with a simple set of principles at the outset: apply ethics, integrity, transparency and superior quality in sharing the expertise and contributing to clients’ needs.  Click here for an overview of our founder’s broad experience in the industry, as well as the process by which Mr. Sansone integrated this experience into the heart of the PG&CP’s operations.

Our expertise is derived from experience gained from being on both the operating side of power and construction projects as well as the insurance side of these industries for over 30 years.  Understanding the energy and construction/engineering industries from both sides of the aisle brings a unique perspective to our clients in the drive to help them identify and manage risk.

The firm’s engineering and construction experience stems from our president/CEO’s involvement with a number different positions and job functions, ranging from senior positions in the energy and construction related activities of Air Products and Chemicals, The Adolph Coors Company, Raytheon Engineers and Constructors, and to the American Ref-Fuel Company.  Our expertise in the insurance industry is based upon Mr. Sansone’s direct management and responsibility for building and leading two global risk engineering organizations (Hartford Steam Boiler and XL Insurance).
